The Saturday markets at Glebe Public School are a mainstay of Sydney's weekly calendar and a true community institution. Pulling together stalls filled with secondhand clothes, hand-made jewellery, crafts, homewares and plenty of food and drinks, the market is Saturday tradition for many locals.

Following three decades at the primary school, the Glebe Markets was at risk of closing down early in 2023, with the longtime custodians David and Naomi McCumstie stepping away suddenly. Following massive community outcry, the markets were saved, with Organic Food Markets stepping up to the plate.

The accomplished crew is the same team behind beloved markets across Sydney and Newcastle including Marrickville, Kings Cross, North Narrabeen, Hornsby and the Central Park Farmers' Market. Under the new ownership, the familiar haunt for affordable clothes and casual eats has been renamed Markets at Glebe.

Despite the name change, not much else has changed with Organic Food Markets committed to maintaining the spirit that has made this longstanding institution such a hit over the last 30 years. You can find Markets at Glebe at the Glebe Public School from 10am–4pm each Saturday.
