KFC Has Launched a Range of Ugly Mid-Winter Jumpers So You Can Stay Cosy While Eating Your Chicken
For those of us who consider a bucket of chicken the perfect mid-winter warmer.
Our spot in the Southern Hemisphere means we're forced to adopt the ugly Christmas sweater trend in August — luckily a new line of OTT Yuletide-themed pullovers from the Colonel has dropped just in time.
Yep, KFC has just dropped a 2022 mid-winter jumper range — including a long-sleeved jumper, a pullover vest, and a beanie for those that like their KFC-themed look a bit more subtle.
Available to snap up from today, Wednesday August 10, the limited-edition designs are primed for cheesy family photos, rocking a cheery red-and-white pattern and emblazoned with the big chicken chain's name.
The jumper and vest come in two sizes, regular and large — but they don't come cheap. The jumper will set you back $64.99 while the vest costs $54.99. The beanie will keep your head warm for $24.99.
But at least it's all for a good cause. The jumper release is to mark the launch of the new KFC For Good foundation, aiming to support Kiwis' mental health. The chicken chain has partnered with mental wellbeing app Clearhead, and 100 percent of the profits from the new mid-winter merch are going towards funding Clearhead subscriptions for members of the community.
Sadly unlike the recent Australian release of KFC mid-winter jumpers, you're not currently able to get speciality ones for your furry friends here in Aotearoa. Those that enjoy dressing like their pets will be crossing their fingers that arrives on our shores soon. In the meantime, get a jumper for this weekend's chicken-eating exploits.
KFC's new mid-winter jumpers are available for purchase now at https://www.kfcforgood.co.nz/. All profits go to the KFC For Good foundation.
